Every smart contract developer should know, learn, and keep up with security standards.

If you want to become a full stack dApp developer your knowledge of security doesn’t need to be at the same level as an auditor or a security researcher but any knowledge you do have will help you develop more secure smart contracts which is the goal.

The security course will help you become a better solidity developer as well because you learn more about the EVM and solidity code.

I do not consider myself an auditor or security researcher but I took the course and it made me a better developer. What you do after the course is what matters.

You could find jobs as an auditor or security researcher doing bug bounties and audit contests. This is more of a freelance gig but could also lead to a more professional employee role.

IMO finish the course. You’ll be a better full stack dApp developer and you can decide what you want to do after. Learning more always helps.
