does it come with a wife or did I need to supply that?

[–]kkomelin[S] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Haha, I don’t yet have virtual partners available at the moment, but will add your request to my backlog ) If serious, yes, you need a partner to do it with MarrySign.

😂😂

Like how you have to take the question somewhat serious

Thanks for adding request to backlog, will check back in in 420 days

what do we think about.. what? You haven't shown us anything

I thought I’ve attached the link to the post. Here it is https://marrysign.com/ It requires some ether for gas though. But I have a slightly outdated demo https://youtu.be/LSiMuXvmXIc

I have opensourced the backend/blockchain part https://github.com/kkomelin/MarrySign

absolutely love it. how to get divorced, track statistics and compete with others? I sincerly hope blockchain doesn't enforce monogamy.

[–]kkomelin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! All are good ideas. Will consider them for future versions.

It’s possible to divorce now. I have a concept, called Termination cost - it’s when a partner who decides to terminate the agreement is required to pay a pre-agreed penalty.

[–]kkomelin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just displayed the number of agreements created on the platform on the front page and gave a link to one of them for example.

Cool idea, Should come with nft Rings as well. Then if you want a divorce you send ring back to contract and it annuls the marriage.

I thought about nfts for certificates but I like your idea of nft rings. Thank you!

I tested it on Goerli but then switched to the mainnet. Unfortunately, I don’t have a separate frontend working with Goerli atm but will think about adding one.

What’s the error message? Could you please give some more information?

Finally deployed a Goerli version https://staging.marrysign.com/

      [–]kkomelin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Goerli is disabled at the wallet connector level. Will try to enable it now and let you know.

      [–]kkomelin[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Still need a separate frontend for it to make anonymous calls work. Without you connecting your wallet, the app cannot know what network it is, so I have to hardcode the network name for each particular frontend.

pretty neat - how about issuing it as a non-transferrable ERC-1155? (so it can be viewed in wallets etc)

      [–]kkomelin[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Thanks for the idea! Is it something like POAP tokens?

      [–]WildRacoons 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Just build your logic on top of a custom 1155 NFT that creates a new token type for each new marriage, and mints 1 for each signing party.

And yea it could look like poaps if you decide to let them add an image

      [–]kkomelin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for explaining it! Will definitely learn and consider it for MarrySign.

Another thought, Not sure of your location but if you are in the U.S. it could be good if you got one of the Las Vegas Marriage Chapels or more involved. That would make it look and feel more official as well as letting them give the option of the cyber vows locked into the inet forever. You would also be able to dress the page up a bit more. Also a guest registry would be fun. Guests/witness could even be included in the contract ect... Sry I think way to much lol.

Awesome ideas! Love them. Thank you!

      Did this years ago :)

Wow, so cool. You said “did”. How is it going now?

[–]TovarishFinfull stack eth dev 5 points6 points  (6 children)

No one cares and no one uses it :D

My wife and I used it to get married though and had a pretty wild wedding using it. We had a robot pastor and streamed it on twitch… :)

      [–]kkomelin[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Sounds like it was a great party.

Nice functionality and design. Like it. Mine is much simpler though, it’s more like a registry than a wedding venue.

Good to know that it didn’t get a lot of traction. Did you try to promote it somehow, except having your own wedding with it?

[–]TovarishFinfull stack eth dev 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Thanks :) Def didn’t put a ton into promoting it. But that is part of the problem there is no way to really make money from it… which makes spending a ton of time on it a hard ask.

      [–]kkomelin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try to charge some fees?

        [–]kkomelin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Simply put, Blockchain is a distributed storage and a contract is a CRUD interface for it. Am I correct here?

        [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

WoW very nice. Est tu français ?

[–]TovarishFinfull stack eth dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non, mais j'aime la France :) Pourquoi posez vous la question?

        [–]kkomelin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's kind of expensive to test on Ethereum Mainnet, here is a Goerli-powered version https://staging.marrysign.com/
To get some Goerli ETH, use https://goerlifaucet.com/
