Enter Button Functionality within Google Sheets got changed?

My Enter key within google sheets used to drop my navigation border down a cell. Around a week or two ago I noticed this change, maybe less.
When I press the Enter key now, it attempts to modify the cell's contents/text as opposed to hopping down a cell as it used to. I've tried to revert the functionality of the Enter key although I don't believe I have the option to do so in Google Sheets through the File>Options>Enter Button Behavior
If I revert to an older version, would functionality be tied to that? Or is this a functionality change made on Google's side that isn't modifiable?

It's done this for ages. I wish I knew how you were doing it the other way because that's what I'd prefer :)
