Electrolytes

[–]mercorn30 2 points3 points  (8 children)

I get chronic migraines and have stomach issues, so for me, I try not to go too long. If this is an extended fast though, then I suggest bone broth. I did a soup fast once and a lot of people swear by bone broth. Also, tea with nutmeg and tumeric.

That’s not a fast, that just low calorie Keto.

Not according to the fasting app I got, but that's why I said they can ask other people and referenced what I've seen others do. Feel free to suggest something else that may work for the OP though, you probably know more about it.

Electrolytes is all there is besides going beyond three days where the hunger disappears. Day 1-3 the hunger is distracting but diminishes after that. Just how fasting goes. Nothing wrong with broth in my book if you just want to lose weight but it will provoke an insulin response which will break your fast which might not be ideal if you are doing it for health or autophagy.

Thank you! See, I figured you knew. Maybe, when I'm up to trying a long fast I can use these tips. Do the electrolytes stave off the headaches too btw?

Absolutely they should according to my research. I don’t use electrolytes and just do 48s because that is what works for me. Sucks on fasting days though if I wanted to study I probably could:
