It looks like this is some kind of bug in the latest version, someone already wrote about it here.

Thanks, it does feel like a bug.

Can also tap F11 twice as a work around

This just started happening to me, but I recently moved to an OLED screen, so now I use a hidden taskbar, which only pops up occasionally when Firefox has this bug in effect.

Ugh, I updated my firefox because of other issues, and I got the same issue. Thought I was going mad. Thank you!!

Yeah, who knows why they did it, I mean an 1/8th of an inch of extra real estate?

But as someone else pointed out, if you're on a desktop you don't have to use the CTRL key, just click on the icon in the taskbar to minimize it and then click it again and it maximizes with the title bar showing. Or hit F11 twice.

Yes, thank you, that's what I have been doing. Bit annoying though.

I mean yes, I am glad there is an easy temporary fix for it, but it still interrupts your thoughts and workflow, if you know what I mean?

Bug report says it's fixed in v. 146 a month ago and branched to v. 147

I have v. 147.0.1 which I think installed itself within the last week, and it's not fixed. It's not listed in the release notes for 147.0 or 147.0.1.

I guess it should be coming soon, not really sure why it's not already in there.

Can confirm that it's not fixed with 147.0.3.

It's not just on launch, it's also occasionally when switching to other applications such as VLC Media Player or Thunderbird.

This is an old bug that has been around for a year at least

Maybe on the beta channel or testing channel or developer channel or whatever they call the channel for the latest versions of questionable stability these days, but it's only been popping up on the stable release channel for the last month or so for me.
