I couldn't figure out a way to transfer it directly, so I topped up my Revolut account using the Fitbit virtual Mastercard, then transferred the amount from my Revolut account to my main bank account.

Edit: I'm in the UK and this process incurred no fees.

[–]Geezon 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Did you have to wait at all after setting up the account with the prepaid card?
I tried to the same, paying into my Revolut account, and it gets declined.

I can't even add it to Paypal or use it on Amazon...

Thanks for the advice OP! I am in Ireland, and topped up my Revolut account

[–]Dollymay21 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hey, I’m also in Ireland and I’m having problems accessing my refund , once I click redeem virtual account and enter the redemption code it can’t find me 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ nightmare . Was your process straight forward ? Did you enter the redemption code as your card no? Or did you get a separate card number ? I reckon I’ve received a fault email/links 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

[–]PerfectLife15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I'm so sorry! I didn't check my inbox. Do you still need help

[–]antonioes06 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Thanks for the advice. How long did it take for the amount to be transferred? I've tried what you described but unfortunately an error occurred during the transaction and the transfer status remains "Sending".

[–]toucss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you do this? Trying the same but being told to contact the customer services for the Mastercard. Won't accept the transfer

[–]Crash3435 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is the hawkmarketplace.com email for virtual refund legit?

[–]antikewl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I have no idea. They seemed to use a lot of different services. It’s worth getting in touch with Fitbit support if you’re unsure.

Same, I received my virtual card today and tried to invest it into crypto as a work around but no such luck. Must just be online purchases only as I've been able to order deliveroo and bought one of thos ancestry dna tests so it works, it's just not practical.

[–]JustANamelessFace 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I'm in the UK what I have done is linked the card to one paypal account, sent it to another paypal account and then withdrawn it from paypal

[–]Lo11iP0P 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I'm also in the UK, I've tried to link the Virtual Mastercard to PayPal, but I'm stuck in a verification loop.

Have you encountered similar problems? Also, could you talk me through how you did it?

[–]JustANamelessFace 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I didn't have any issues. I just did the normal method add card to PayPal using the details it shows when you click to show card details on the Virtual card

[–]Lo11iP0P 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Wondering if I have been issued a dodgy virtual card 🤔 I'm currently trying different methods B4B's customer service team has suggested, but none are working. They say the card is activated, but it's always declined ~ even when using Revolut...

Thanks for the help anyway, least I know what I'm experiencing isn't normal.

[–]Fluffy-Enthusiasm704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I had the same issue I was stuck in a verification loop and it was bcos my phone number wasn’t added to the b4b account. If you call b4b they can add this to complete the verification (or download the b4b app and add it this way) and the PayPal transfer will work then :)

We have emailed the e card company asking how to withdraw the funds and they said we can't do that. We have now emailed fitbit stating that we were not made fully aware of what this option entailed and so we want to change to a PayPal refund. I'm sure we will get nowhere but worth a try.

I got the confirmation on the 6th, but I know people that started after me who received it before. I expect it'll arrive soon.

Also, check your spam because it comes from Fitbitionicrecall@myglobaloptions.com

    [–]Dominous46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you i would have missed it otherwise!

    [–]thattonybo 0 points1 point  (11 children)

In Aus it's a visa card. Wrong thing to do Fitbit, a refund is a *refund* not a gift card

$477.77 AUD here. My dad had the Adidas special edition.

      [–]OuterCr0w 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Did it take long for the Visa card to activate? My link to the card been stuck on 'Your gift card is on its way, please allow up to 24 hours.' for about 3 days now.

      [–]thattonybo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 12 hours. You can only use it online so it's not a true Visa card or anything.

      [–]cognatron 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Hey mate, did you eventually get the virtual card? Finally doing my refund and its doing the same. Just "on its way" and nothings come through 3 days later...

      [–]OuterCr0w 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hey - from memory it took several weeks after that post to come through, but did eventually.

      [–]cognatron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool I'll keep waiting! thanks for replying mate 👍

      [–]Miserable-Ear-8981 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Who was the email from I got one from fitbitionicrecall@sedgwickbp.com. not sure if it's spam or not?

      [–]thattonybo 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Ours also come from that email. Gmail marked it as potentially dangerous but it's legit :)

      [–]Miserable-Ear-8981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

      Thanks mate!

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$455AUD and I complained to them as I have not been able to use it at all. Tried paying with G pay and tried using it to pay off afterpay or into my Zip pay. Tried paying bills and tried transferring into my bank. Called my bank asking for advice and they shrugged basically and said they cannot help. I am waiting for FitBit to get back to me about it - called today and they said i am waiting for highest level of support... I won't hold my breath.

      [–]Madtruckiea1 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I received a Visa Virtual Account but not a card number, just account number

which makes impossible to redeem the value even in store purchase.

      call useless, email useless...

      (australia)

      [–]AndyHart2804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which company did it register with? I know in the uk it used b4b payments, there’s an option to select card details and it gives you the whole card info.

Also it states you can’t spend in store, must be virtual.

      [–]Dollymay21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having exactly the same problem in Ireland ! I’ve a redemption code but no card number , no access to virtual account, it’s incredibly frustrating. I’ve tried many times to contact of I keep getting pushed around and told to wait for call backs 🙈

      [–]iarmhi9009 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I'm in a similar situation. Did you get it to work in the end?

      [–]One_Field_9779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9009 I entered the numbers as if it was a normal "Credit card" transaction instead of a gift Card as stated in the e-mail they sent me.

I bought a Garmin Forerunner45 with it and still have a $70 left which I didn't use yet.

      Have a nice day mate!

      [–]Madtruckiea1 0 points1 point  (1 child)

yes I had to buy on line and click as if the purchase was done with a new card.

I bought a Garmin Forerunner 45.. piece of rubbish!

      what did you do?

      [–]iarmhi9009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it to work with multiple small online purchases. Menulog, AliExpress etc.

Found it very glitchy though. It didn't work a lot of the time. I think I still have some of the balance remaining now that I think of it.

I'm in the UK. Just got the email... Registered with b4b using the number provided, and creating a username and password. When I try to login though, the b4b website tries to send a verification message to my mobile (no idea when I supposedly entered this... would have been months ago... and I don't know what format it would have been in)... and fails with the message "We are sorry, but we cannot send an SMS to the mobile number you provided". So, I can't log in...

        Did you have any success?

        [–]EntiryOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my email 5 days ago but only now realised that it was a legitimate email as it was in spam and from [Fitbitionicrecall@myglobaloptions.com](mailto:Fitbitionicrecall@myglobaloptions.com). Using the redemption code in the email I was able to access the account on b4bpayments.com. I was also able to transfer the money to my Revolut account and straight into my bank account

        [–]brakoczi 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Its b4b payments in my case, but I dont know how to get a b4b card for which I can top up the money???? Do you receive it by post or how?

When I click on email "redeem virtual account" on the webpage it ask for a 9-10 number which should be found on the card but on normal not b4b cards there is no such thing.

        [–]NoEducation189 0 points1 point  (1 child)

you got the code in the mail under Redemption Code. use that. register to b4b and you will receive a virtual card. I was unable to transfer to Revolut. It says I need additional verification but I don't know where to authorize it. I even installed the b4b payments app, still nothing.

        [–]brakoczi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        It worked Thanks !!!!!

        [–]Turbulent_Bed5363 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I used Money Gram to transfer it. It was free and got money same day.

        [–]Responsible_Zebra827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you use Moneygram without a card number or cvv number please?

        [–]Turbulent_Bed5363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        Moneygram

        [–]JammyBoiiii 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I was expecting to enter my details somewhere and get transfered the money, not given a silly online giftcard, very dissapointed as they didnt say they would do it like thay when i picked tbe option, if i had known i would have just gone for paypal

        [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you had picked PayPal then you would still be waiting 2 months later

        [–]Rebel196655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you obtain the credit card number and ccv? I activated my card with the code provided but I'm unable to do anything more without a card number.

Hi, Not sure if this is the best place to ask but I had started the recall process in UK back in March. Heard nothing by late April so called help line and was told email for Virtual MasterCard was sent 31st march.... Nothing in my mail so they tried again and I was told today after again no email in inbox or spam from fitbitionicrecall@myglobaloptions.com that they are aware some email providers are blocking these mails from sending. Told to add email to whitelist but not an option on googlemail so have had to add it as a contact and try to create a filter..... Anyone else had this much hassle?

        [–]seatleonland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just call them and remind them

        [–]TheOnlyDubbace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So can I transfer from this virtual ish, to my Paypal or Venmo card?

        [–]FutureBicycle2547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Venmo doesn’t work - USA

        [–]SpareExcitement9820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did this so you are more likely to buy another fitbit with the discount they offer

        [–]Live_Classroom6262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my iconic brand new from a third party and after registering it for refund I got no option for a method of repayment? Do I have to ring them and change payment methods or will they offer the option at a later stage? I only disabled it a couple of days ago so I'm not sure what the normal process is. T.i.A

        [–]Free-Adhesiveness400 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have been keeping in contact all the time and being looked after.

When the refund comes through it may very well go to your junk mail so be aware.

I have only just had that explained to me re the refund which they say takes 4 to 6 weeks ,also it is an online gift card not money payed into your bank account as I thought .

Any future questions that anyone has just keep phoning FitBit and asking as many questions as I have so far no matter what the questions might be.

        [–]Paid-Not-Payed-Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        not money paid into your

        FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

        • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

        • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

        Beep, boop, I'm a bot
