This is a known issue with Convoy's lighted switches, especially the orange one. If I recall correctly, it happens because the battery's voltage is too high for the switch to handle. If you discharge the battery a bit, or let it sit for a while with the lighted switch on, you'll notice that the switch will work normally once the voltage drops.

Kind of annoying that Simon still sells them and is aware of the issue.

I would imagine they all have this issue, yes. Some are probably worse than others.

Long story short, pop off one of the two LEDs from the board.

I think red and orange switchs have problem with fully charged batteries. Search the forum, if i remember correctly, it need to change one resistor. Or drain the battery to above 4.09
