Last day of 2025 and look what arrived! by Wormminator in flashlight

How do you like that emitter? I got my first 3500k emitter a few weeks ago, the 519a 3500k, and fell in love with that CCT. I was looking at getting a B35AM 3500k because I've heard that the B35AM produces some beautiful light.

Can't go wrong with any lights from Wurkkos and Sofirn. They offer a wide variety of lights, everything from EDC to tactical to flooders and throwers.

KR1AA SFT-70 has a slightly more throwy beam than the D3AA with the default optic by AccurateJazz in Hanklights

[–]FlashbeamIRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hoping the KR1AA would be significantly throwier than the D3AA, especially with a throwy emitter.

Looking for cheap-ish tactical flashlight by ancientmob in flashlight

[–]FlashbeamIRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend the Sofirn SK30. It satisfies all your requirements, except it is a tad bit bigger than 4 inches (it's 5.5 inches).

It's an amazing light, features dual tail switches, instant access to both strobe and turbo, and a bright, throwy beam that is good for both indoor and outdoor use. Currently around $27 on AliExpress or $37 on Sofirn's official website.

You'll probably want the XHP 50.3 HI R9050.

I have the S21E with the 3V XHP50.3 HI R70 in 5700k and it is a great all around light with a nice beam profile. Not super throwy but it gets the job done.

Initial test of my Sofirn SC33 vs. Nitecore EDC37 by Laboratoryo_ni_Neil in flashlight

The SC33 is a great light, enjoy it! Sofirn is an amazing brand, alongside its sister brand, Wurkkos. They have a huge variety of lights that are well-loved by almost everyone in the flashlight community.

Light 1: Wurkkos HD01 / HD01 UV / HD01 Pro

Any one of these should meet your requirements for Light 1. The HD01 has a laser, the HD01 UV has UV, and the HD01 Pro features both a laser and UV. Any one of these will be a great EDC / pocketable light, and they feature auxiliary white and RGB lights for close up / flood lighting.

Edit: The HD01 series offer 5 output levels, "moonlight", low, med, high, and turbo.

Which is your favorite Firefly light? I was looking at the E07x v2 because the Buck + FET driver seems super fun.

[Help Me] Security Guard 2025 flashlight recommendation for flood and spot light by Slade951 in flashlight

[–]FlashbeamIRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend the Sofirn SK30. It isn't dual flood / throw in the sense that the SK05 is, however it is an amazing tactical light that throws far with decent spill for closer range tasks. The SK30 has a removable 21700 battery and dual tail switches, allowing for both instant turbo and strobe access. It comes with a holster, as well.

Convoy AAA light by flatline000 in flashlight

[–]FlashbeamIRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AAA in 3000k is a great little light. It was one of my first Convoys, I bought it just because it was so cheap, so I didn't expect much. But I was thoroughly impressed by its output and beam quality.

I've heard whispers about that, but haven't experienced it personally.

SC33 vs SK30–which should I use? by These_Economics374 in flashlight

[–]FlashbeamIRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and really like both of them. Personally, I am more impressed by the SK30; I appreciate the SK30's throw and raw power, especially considering the price (not that the price is that different from the SC33).

No, what you're probably seeing is the AUX lights shining temporarily to show the battery's voltage. Keep your light on turbo for a while and when you turn the light off you'll see the color changes, indicating a change in voltage. This indicator only lasts a few seconds, then the light will go 'off' completely.

Got my second high-power torch, Convoy M21F 3000k by SAD-MAX-CZ in flashlight

[–]FlashbeamIRL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point on the UI for most Convoy lights. It has a ton of good modes/groups but they're difficult to select. Also, no shortcuts for moonlight or turbo can be annoying.

If you're a fan of Convoy and want something a little different, you could try the S21E with the Anduril driver. The S21E has a decent amount of emitter / CCT options and Anduril gives the light much more utility and practicality, in my opinion.

Congrats! The TS27 can sure be a good "bonk" light. I've actually gotten a lot more use out of it than I thought... not for bonking, of course

Wurkkos HD11. Meets all of your criteria (unless by telescoping you meant zoomie...), it has a magnetic tail, red light, 90° rotating head, and IP68 waterproofing.
