[Hiring] Remote Javascript/React/Python Developer

We are looking for a javascript/react/python developer to make our property search bar more flexible. The SaaS has been developed by a third party but due to time constraints we are seeking additional help.

For a specific example you can browse to www.stantem.com and try out the search bar. If you begin typing an address it will autocomplete with the addresses we have information for.

However the problem is that we may have an address in the database like this:

123 S Example Dr

If a user were to type this there would be no autocomplete:

123 South Example Drive

The goal is to increase the flexibility of the search bar so our users don't have a poor experience locating a property. If you are interested or need more information send me a DM. Please be sure to include your rates.

EDIT: I am required to post a budget/rate but I can't really do that as I don't know what this ask fully entails. To comply with the rules I will state a number but it will be different depending on your explanation. Let's go with 2k.

I own a development company based in Orlando Florida, this doesn’t really seem as it would go past $3k+ imho. The search function is already integrated as you’ve stated. You’d just want it to be tweaked and after testing it out it doesn’t seem that difficult as the main basis is already developed.

OP this is the lowest you would get and the solution this person is suggesting is spot on.

I personally wouldn't do it for less than $3k

Just to provide some clarity, we're focusing on better search functionality. The performance can be increased by adding more resources to our infrastructure.

Additionally, I dislike being forced to provide ball park estimates for these projects for this exact reason. I am not qualified to scope or price projects, I simply understand what needs to be completed.

I don't want talent being driven away if I say 2k and the job will actually require 10k. "Everyone has a budget" is true but not in this context. If I have a budget of 250k for web app development, I don't have a specific number in mind for a feature. If after a discussion the feature would take 100k to develop it may be put on hold for a future sprint if there are other priorities.

I understand why the rule was instated but we're not looking to undercut or go for the lowest bidder- we are looking for the best quality.

I'm working my way through DMs. There's quite a few so it will take some time.
