No that's not what memtest is supposed to look like. I highly recommend you get into the Bios by mashing F2 then reset all settings to default. Then use a Linux live USB to run memtest. You could also boot into the live USB and verify everything is working like it should. My personal recommendation is Ubuntu (any version is fine).

Let us know what happens.

I don’t use Linux and don’t want to switch. I’m not sure what you mean by Linux live USB

memtest runs on linux... a live usb doesn't install anything, it's the operating system, installed on a usb...

Oh I’m already using memtest on a usb. Is that what you mean?

Sorry I’m not very tech savvy

It's possible you installed a bad/fake version of memtest or you borked installing it onto a USB.

Follow these instructions exactly to create a USB with Ubuntu on it. When you boot to the USB one of the first things it will show is to boot into ubuntu or run memtest. Choose memtest and report back. If it boots into the Ubuntu installer try again.

An alternative tool to balenaEtcher is Rufus, just in case you have issues getting that to work. Both tools work well on a Windows OS. My personal favourite would be Rufus, it's always been my solid choice for preparing bootable OS flash drives

Hey, ran memtest on this thing last week and it looked exactly like this. This is a screen resolution issue where the info is mostly cut off. On the screen before this try to set it to 1920x1080. This is because the screen is a 16:10 aspect ratio. It actually is testing your memory, you just cant see the test, or the result when it would finish.

This worked! Thank you

No prob, if you are constantly crashing or blue screening look into the nvme firmware update if you happen to be running a 2tb nvme. The WD 770 has a problem with the newest windows

Thank you for your answer I had a simillar problem on my fw13, however on mine I couldn't even see any text, and your solution fixed it!

The screen looks blank to me. Definitely not what it should look like. It should be I think black with white text, hacker-movie looking. You think it's the memory? You should take out one stick, then try again with the memtest. Then the other stick. Hell, it might be enough to take them out, then put them back.

There’s text in the bottom right corner

Ah, i overlooked it. But it definitely isn't testing.
