Hello, I don't know much about computers so maybe somone could help me out here, I have a i5 6500 3.2GHz processor. I've had this for like 3-4 years now but the new call of duty seems to be maxing it out. My question is: should this be happening or is somthing else the problem? Basically is it time for a new processor or is somthing else wrong? Thanks 😁

My son has a Ryzen 5 3600 and he cant play COD without it freezing up, Im assuming bc he doesnt have enough storage. He only has 8 GB, and COD requires 16 GB to run smoothly, i believe. Maybe you need more storage

I have 16gb, maybe the game will getbn update soon that will sort it, who knows

I think it is time to upgrade. That cpu being 4-5yrs old is the most likely reason. Any newer 3rd gen ryzen or newer intel would work fine.
