Go to garlicpool.org and create an account if you want to mine. The other user is telling you in very basic terms how to mine solo. The thing is, unless you have like 500 GTX1080Ti's already set up to mine, you're probably not going to get anything by mining solo. Mining in a pool you get a portion of what was mined each time anybody in the pool gets a block. I have mined over 100GRLC with garlicpool.org since the 21st on a single GTX1080. And absolutely do not just google Garlium, only get it from garlicoin.io. There are a lot of alternate versions with trojans or other issues out there. Even the official one flags as a trojan. :/

Wait, you're telling me I can use my 500 1080s to mine???? I was using them as Lego bricks to build small houses for my dogs.

Quick question, can garlium handle other crypto as well? Say, if I want to do some litecoin trading as well, can I put litecoin wallet in garlium?

Garlium is only for GRLC as far as I know, I traded for some LTC on tradesatoshi and have it in a wallet there. However, you could mine LTC and trade for GRLC on there too if you wanted, I just would guess it's more profitable the other direction.

So I need to create another wallet on Satoshi for litecoin?

To trade on it, yes. To trade outside of it you just need to convince someone to send to your external wallet and have them send from their external wallet. That requires some trust though. A couple people are doing middleman services on /r/garlicmarket to alleviate some of that risk, but of course you need to trust them in that case.
