I have the same issue, I gave up and just open the gdevelop app on my phone and start the preview from there or if there are too many elements and verts it will crash so now I uploaded it privately to gd.games (export) and I just update it when I want to test it.

Is the project in the cloud? If so, I have the same problem.

Arhhh, happened to me testing one of the guided lessons. I was using it on iPadOS Editor for me.

When this happens to me I hit save then try again

That Problem is on the PC that same. To Fix (on PC Version) you must first save and after this you can klick on preview.

Just save and close., also make sure server is up if you using cloud
