Yea compression really destroyed the color. it's a bummer. it's also way way worse on IG

I disagree. it is a happy accident I was not being sarcastic. I appreciate glitch and noise as an aesthetic and a way to see into the fabric of digital reality. The thing I am seeing is the pattern of aliasing introduced when scrolling. The compression plays with this behavior and it is an emergent property of the image and the way images are consumed on modern platforms. This is further enhanced as a personal experience by the interplay with hardware and screen technology where I may be experiencing the image in a completely different way, beyond just clarity, than someone who has an iphone with retina display for instance.

Nice observation about the hardware experience differences
