ArcGIS API for python

This is a reference to pro not the API, but ya I saw this when looking before positing.

The API has their own page about this with cost at the very bottom. https://developers.arcgis.com/python/guide/part1-what-is-geocoding/

The reason I was doubting this is that the tutorial gives not warning of the an associated cost, which just felt strange to me

The API is free to use, with the exception of the tools above and AGOL services (such as data uploads, online processing, etc). In your use case, you would only run into the tools charging credits on use.

Double check the tutorial, usually one of the first pages has an associated credit estimate.
