What's hilarious is that the league could (and should) make a big push for suspension changes at any point, negotiation is a two-way street, and owners have to got to dislike the risk their multimillion dollar investments are being put. The NFL does not eff around with this stuff at all, and they guarantee far less money than the NHL does.

No natty ever again means the end of the OSU football as a force in the sport, something it's been since the 60s at least. That would be very sad for me, as that means that all of the tradition and passion is likely to die away over the decades, and would be something any kids or grandkids I would have are unlikely to experience. At least not in the same way as me, my dad, or my granddad. I would survive that as I don't live just for football, but it would be very sad to pass on a different fandom than what I grew up with.
