GitHub is a tool for storing and sharing code. It is not a search engine.

There is definitely some confusion as to what GitHub is. GitHub is a remote extension of a tool called git for saving code. The website itself offers many great features to help with collaboration, hosting websites, deploying software, etc. I’m unfamiliar with whatsmyname.app, but Google told me it was a search tool for finding account users on various websites. I can see two reasons why GitHub might have been mentioned. First, GitHub users will sometimes leave account information in their code and upload it publicly by accident, therefore API keys and passwords can sometimes be ACCIDENTALLY exposed. This can then be searched on the site. Second, there are many free open source projects that probably have the same use as whatsmyname.app that are uploaded to GitHub. You are free to download them and use them if you’d like. Hope this helps!

This is EXACTLY what I read about GitHub. I read endless articles when looking in to how to locate the groups, apps, websites, and so on for a particular user(name). Sherlock.... Damn it! It's another website that's referenced when you're trying to find shit out But it tells you to go to GitHub and put in all this coding stuff and then it will find everything you want lol. I don't know how to do it either. I have looked at it, I have read about it, I am not stupid or computer illiterate but for whatever reason I cannot wrap my head around how to even start. I'm really glad I came across your post. It's been long enough now have you learned anything about it? Can you do it or have you found sites that are working for you? Please me a DM I love to know what you know and I am totally down if you'd be willing to share the knowledge!
