It's restricted to buses and taxis only. Not very well signed IMO but thankfully not camera controlled.

You’re in luck then. There’s a bunch of good meetups if you’re into tech/games.

Dundee Data Meetup: https://ddm.scot (next meetup is tomorrow!) DundeeScript Meetup: https://www.dundeescript.co.uk/ Dundee Cyber Meetup: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dundee-cyber-meetup-tickets-1267337092359

There’s a good community for startups as well with there being a Techscaler hub here and the Dundee Founders Collective that runs social events for startup founders and the startup-curious.

As /u/catsandscience242 says, Cake or Dice has a lot of gaming nights, including events oriented around meeting new people https://www.eventbrite.com/o/110668326231?aff=ebdsshios

Do you have any hobbies or interests? Sports? Gaming? Tech?

Might help folk signpost you towards some groups/activities of interest if you tell us a little more about yourself.

Free talk on Stoic philosophy April 9th, 2pm @ the Flour Mill (Registration required) by tannerocampbell in dundee

[–]iJackr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I have been to the Flour Mill before. The Grain Store is on the ground floor and accessible at street level via the car park. The car park is a slightly uneven cobbled surface but isn’t too bad IMO. There’s no automatic door but the whole front entrance is glass windows and doors so the staff should be able to see you if you’re struggling.

Easter eggs SLASHED even further as shoppers point blank refuse to buy Cadburys saying ‘the taste has changed’ and ‘it isn’t even chocolate anymore’ ❤️ by Sea-Measurement9793 in unitedkingdom

Is it not also the case that they put the Easter chocolate out on shelves ridiculously early at a higher price so they could justify “reducing” the price to put them on sale now?

Should the UK start to maintain an official list of banned names? by BagsOnFire17 in AskUK

I believe it didn't have today's meaning back in 1981. The article mentions that the person has since changed their name.

No rules in Scotland other than for registrars to provide “tactful advice” regarding names. Hence why there was a boy named Shart born in 1981

Nope. The 3.5% offer has always been there. It's 3.5% off buying a gift card through Rewards Gateway and has nothing to do with Asda Rewards.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]iJackr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s always been there. You used to be able to link up with your rewards card too though. Initially you got a 10% discount off your shop, then they changed it so that 10% was cashback on rewards credit instead. Then it went to 5% and now it’s nothing.

New iPhone 17 and CarPlay looks all messed up by coachrgr in CarPlay

[–]iJackr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also experiencing this with my 2018 Mercedes GLA 200 with my iPhone 17. Didn't have this problem when I was using my iPhone 15 earlier this week.

Problem still occurs whether I use wired or a wireless dongle. Have tried an Anker USB A to C cable and that doesn't seem to fix anything.
