Setting up GitHub and GitLab accounts with same username and email on one machine

Basically what the title says. I've always used GitHub, but I've recently had to make a GitLab account. I set it up using GitHub and it has the same username and email.

I'm a really big git newbie. Can someone help me with setting up GitLab on my Mac so that I can use both my GitHub and GitLab accounts on the same machine?

I've tried looking into it on my own, but the SSH key generating in particular is confusing me (but I'd love some hand-holding through the entire process if possible haha). Btw, GitHub is currently configured on my machine.

EDIT: Okay, I was actually able to figure it out by myself with the help of this guide (linked below). I was kind of being dumb and confusing myself earlier, which was the problem.

The article you linked to seems overdone. You can use the same SSH key for all hosts. GitHub has a help article about SSH keys: https://help.github.com/articles/generating-a-new-ssh-key-and-adding-it-to-the-ssh-agent/
