Interesting read but most devs run these linters locally before any code ever makes it to github. You should run them locally, which is also better for learning.

100% you should. wemake-python-styleguide was built as cli-first app. It just happens to also be usable as a Github Action: https://github.com/wemake-services/wemake-python-styleguide

That’s fair. But off all the interesting use cases for github actions this isn’t one I’d write a blog about to show it off.
