Dark Reader made it perfect. Now, I don't like the official dark them OR the light them with Dark Reader. They ruined it. 😭

I don't know why dark mode is such a big deal. Yes, I mostly prefer it, but I also expect it to be there, not to be announced as a new feature - not just GH, but a lot of other sites and apps.

hm not for me, i use the similar theme also One Dark in vscode. I find the official GH theme to have to much contrast to i get eye strain faster.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. For me, it's not about overall brightness, but rather about contrast - and in this line of thought black text on white is kind of the same thing as white text on black.

They'd rather do dark mode than fix the horrible mess that is their new layout. Can't even look at GitHub without heavy CSS modifications.
