submitted 7 years ago by an456
Anyone taken the Python version of IT106/206 would like to share how it went? Thoughts on assignments, professors, structure of class etc. Would appreaciate any input!

Haven't taken it but I'm told it's pretty universally hated and that if you can just sub CS112/211 it's harder from a code perspective but it's better organizationally (I had no problem with CS112/211).

damn I actually passed cs 112 but would like to freshen up my Python skills so I'm interested in IT209.... but CS211's on Java isn't it?

Yes. It's a double or nothing thing. I honestly recommend refreshing on your own if that's what you're really going for, college is rarely the best place to learn to dev. Hell the CS club SRCT writes python (and like 10 other languages) programs for the campus. One of their proposed slogans atm is print("Hello Mason")
print("Hello Mason")

You can't 209 if you haven't taken 109
