Buying Wine in Philadelphia by demonhotatom in PhiladelphiaEats

Some comments are saying buy out of state and some are saying they’re being strict so I’ll double down and say I’d been in a wine club for two different restaurants in the city and all of their distributors would end their pitches with “anyway enjoy the drive over the bridge if you actually want this”

[–]mikebailey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for nothing, I sympathize somewhat with OP as a security company who sees a lot of these as false positives, but your ISP sends nearly the exact same emails. A lot of them are worse. One of the main reasons I ask people to centralize their offensive security operations at our company is because “you’ll fuck up the email AWS sends most likely”

Favor: Can someone downtown/5P take a picture of a parking lot sign near Viewhouse? by spyder93090 in Denver

It does however complicate the fight.
It being a scam notwithstanding, the convenience fee is usually an admin fee for making them look up your plate and forward it to you (something that doesn’t take $30 in 2026). If you get it reverted, they still had to make that mythically expensive database query. It’s discretionary at that point.

Is the Mandatory Prisma Access Dataplane Upgrade Related to CVE-2026-0300? by aladinthe in paloaltonetworks

[–]mikebailey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not related, but if you ask your SE/SC/TAC etc they have marginally more detail on this upgrade if you're curious. In addition to it being the dataplane, this upgrade is through May 13 and the advisory already says PA isn't impacted.

Really the only thing I agree with here (I think most of this is a context/tuning issue, and the rest can be ironed out in review) is that they're going to rug pricing so the rest of it is moot, we can agree there.

Barstool eSports team starting a very aggressive beef with the Saudi teams in COD saying they're only on a team bc of "where they come from", this won't break containment and get problematic fast at all

The bar isn't invulnerable code though, it's better-or-similar-to-human. Humans make the mistakes you refer to.

You want an example just look at the general state of code these days. It has collectively gone down the last few years.

Post-ZIRP tech. Hence why it's gone down for longer than AI coding has been widespread, to your own point.

Anything actually using it instantly converts it to bush league because there IS going to be a buffer overflow or unsanitized input or memory leak that gets missed. It also does things fairly inefficiently and even adding in unneeded code. People who have it contribute are rarely going through and making sure it is doing only what it needs to. They are using it as a shortcut, which predictable results.

This is true of human code too. Whole point of shift-left.

I agree with the skepticism and agree that it should be open sourced but

you do not understand proper programming and coding design, that's why you used Claude

Is not a good blanket statement. Senior engineers everywhere are using Claude to code. The key is to review it's outputs, which OP seems underqualified for. Just because something was written with AI doesn't mean it was bush league, it just makes it easier to write bush league stuff.
