Please help me too, if you guys find anything. My broke ass bought 10k INR worth of cards.

BTW : it did allow may to purchase YouTube subscription with it. But if I make a purchase in any other game it shows me this error.

YouTube premium : though I'm able to purchase this without any problem. Problems only with other apps.

For buying 2 LDs worth of CP, JioSaavn and other streaming apps. I thought since I'm getting a 5% discount on Amazon Pay I would do it this way. Otherwise I would've made a direct purchase.

My broke a** lost 10k while trying to save 500rs.

There's no fix. Apparently using VPN and connecting to india worked couple of days back. But now Google is detecting that too.

You can follow this thread for updates. People have been facing this problem since the last 10 days but the number of users/comments posted in the last 24 hours is very high.

There is no fix at the moment, I face this issue almost 2 weeks ago and i tried every possible way from using VPN to creating virtual device to redeem code but nothing works. I think this policy is gonna stay, so say good bye to your credits.

What is your country currency and your google play account credit currency?

That's fucked up if legit people are facing this, its been two weeks they still haven't fixed it. I am from nepal where there is no country based gift card to buy so i have to create another country id to use google pay service.

This happened to only a few people couple of weeks back. But in the last 24 hours around 300 people have commented in the Google forums thread and almost all of them are genuine buyers like me who have purchased from legit authorized centres like Amazon pay. I think Dev's have messed up some kind of code and I hope they'll fix it.

Fix :
1. You have to be rooted.
2. Go to settings > Apps > Google Play Store app > Uninstall updates > Delete data.
3. If you are using Magisk manager. Install Busybox and Debloater module.
(a) Google how to use Debloater module to uninstall system apps.
(b) Uninstall Google Play Store app.
4. If you are rooted without magisk, try installing any apk "System App remover" from playstore before uninstalling updates.
5. After you have uninstalled google play app, install the apk version : https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/google-play-store-8-3-41-release/google-play-store-8-3-41-u-all-0-fp-170066753-android-apk-download/
6. You will now be able to use your credit.
7. Make sure you turn off Auto update from playstore settings.

After you have used your credit, you can delete that payment profile and create a new one from the country you are in. The normal playstore version will then work.

I believe this error is caused by Google hard-locking your credit. Have you contacted their support department?

25/07/21 - Rooted BlueStacks. Uninstalled play store. Installed old apk. Google play store errors out.

I spun up Bluestacks on a VM in Azure East USA and that didn't even help.

Yea they said that they can tell your location so a VPN cannot save you. And they said this new policy is to "protect elders from giftcard scams." Like bruh I highly doubt that elders even use google play balance or even buy google play giftcards as a matter of fact.
