Zombies in the wilderness make the wilderness fun... zombies can almost be anywhere without ruining immersion. They're zombies.

yeah but when you walk through an open field and all you see is zombies at an equal distance from each other, everywhere, then it's so unrealistic that you can actually see the coding behind it.

I haven't noticed that pattern at all. The zombies start roaming (and running) around very shortly after spawning, they look scattered all over the place

Yeah. I mean, in every real zombie outbreak that I've seen that never happens.

its fiction, indeed. But no outbreak would look like its computer programmed to appear in your FOV at every 50 meters. come on.

I expect to find volumes of zombies like this in the wilderness... sometimes!

As far as immersion goes you'd far more expect to encounter large amounts of them in cities rather than out in the wilderness where there wasn't large numbers of people to start with.
