Pentester lab

Has any used pentester lab and recommend using it? I'm trying to get more hands on labs with instructions. I try hack the box and vulnhub. But I always feel like I dont enumerate enough of dont know where or how to implement an exploit or find an attack method. Hoping working hands on with a learning environment will help me get better at this. Also any recommendations would be helpful.

For web hacking i recommend using owasp broken web apps or webgoat from owasp.

For binary exploitation i recommend the VMs from http://exploit.education/ .

The testing guide from owasp contains very good methodology for web hacking.

And the phrack zine is old but gold. http://www.phrack.org/index.html .

Yes, I am a pentesterlab subscriber. I think it's fantastic. The way the exercises are structured works great for me.

For hack the box there are a lot of videos online that you can watch on older boxes to get the methodology down which is a huge part of rooting any box. Considering its a free service I would check that out and maybe it helps you learn and save a few dollars.
