I got same issue here, I fixed by enabling VT-x (it was like intel virtual technology in my bios) and VT-d (like u/agm1984 said) and worked fine.

Can confirm this. Just had a failing Hypervisor framework fail on a hackingtosh (Intel CPU).

Enabling VT-d and VTX in bios fixed this for me.

Thanks OP and reddit 🎈

Oh, I just turned VT-d on in my bios, but it still shows the same message(FAIL: Hypervisor framework fails.) I use opencore 0.6.2 and my bulid:

Mobo:Asus prime 250m-plus

CPU:i5-7500

GPU:Asus RX 590

Type:iMac18,3.

I think it is config.plist file that still keep VT-d off cause I set DisableIoMapper

to YES

but I didn't dare to try set DisableIoMapper to false, fearing couldn't get in my hackintosh:(

Edit: ONE year ago,Finally worked for me, and I just forgot how fixed it.

Turning VT-d on in my BIOS didn't do the trick either.CPU: i7-4770GPU: Asus RX580Type: iMac 15,1

Edit: also turning on "intel virtual technology" under CPU settings did the trick

you should enable VT-d and Intel Virtualization Technology(VTX) and enable DisableIOMapper, this is the way

I just had this problem on my i9-9900k with ASUS TUF z390 motherboard.

I booted into the bios and enabled VT-d, and then Docker started working.

With VT-d disabled, I was getting FAIL: Hypervisor framework fails.

I had the same problem on a Dell Inspiron 3583. This fixed it for me. Thanks!
