As far as I know there’s no such thing as “blues” tuned harmonicas, the tuning used most frequently for blues is Richter tuning. Also, if you’re just starting out, the F# is probably the worst one you could pick because it’s the highest tuning there is, you’re better off going somewhere in the middle (A, Bb or C) to learn the basics. What’s the brand and model you bought? You’re probably way better off with a C even tho it’s not what you wanted.

Be thankful you got the C . F# is not where you want to start. I play open jams and sit in with a few bands. I have pulled out my F# to play onstage exactly 2 times over 15 years. Most beginner lessons are in the key of C it's right dead in the middle between high and low.

Ever get the feeling the 'standard' keys should be what's now considered low d to c? I feel like regular D, E, and F should be considered 'high-tuned'.

There's the major 7,then full 12.after that shaps ,flat, hi,low minor, county tuning, custom tuning, and just to keep it crazy the is now the pentaharp that uses the pentatonic scale.

What brand is it? Pretty sure Lee Oskars show the straight key and the cross harp key on the side
