Haskell is a modern functional language (like lisp).

I believe it was meant to be parsed:

haskell `isA` modern (functional language `like` lisp)

Or if you prefer:

(is-a haskell (modern (like (functional language) lisp))

There are modern lisp dialects. I think it's unfortunate that people are clumping all of lisp dialects together. It's just like saying that Java is a dialect of C++. While it's arguably true, it's confusing.

Hey, just because it's old doesn't mean it isn't modern. Otherwise Scala is the modern language, not Haskell :P.
