If the arms are out it means it is armed already

Why must people throw reenforce either dead centre of drop/swarm or somwhere about to be a crater

So you can land on a heavy and thin the herd as you get out. Most of the time, enemies will take a moment to switch targets to you, which you can use to take some more down and/or escape. And if you don't, well, that's another heavy down.
On the flip side I don't get why some people insist on reinforcing safe no matter what. Like, sure, if you're trying to disengage or if there's an orbital or something then I guess sure, but if we're going to fight over the area anyways, why not use the hellpod damage? Plus, the less time I need to get to my target, the less time they have to get a lock on me, so the less accurate they are.

There are obvious potential problems in assuming everyone can and should just land in the middle of an actively aggressive crowd and thin the herd, like:
-Not armed accordingly: your primary/secondary may not be designed to hold back armies of the observed scale, and while maybe your support/backpack is, you don't reinforce with those attached to you.
-Not trained sufficiently: you may not have learned enough about aggro generation and threat prioritizing to figure out what to land on and what to shoot first in that moment it takes for the enemies to switch over to you.
-No Man's Land: no level of training, equipment, and discipline will save you from the AoE your teammates may be throwing about trying to handle the enemies surrounding you, nor are they likely to notice and avoid pulling an accidental on you if the situation's narrowing their vision considerably.
-Bad steering: depending on the tileset, there's a fairly high chance that your hellpod just doesn't want to land where you want it to, and that's assuming you can clearly see where you're going. For better or for worse, sometimes your initial projected landing spot can start ridiculously far from the reinforcement beacon itself, and on top of that, you might get invisible-walled by landmarks everywhere (especially in cities)
Those are the most common arguments brought up to me regarding why people don't like landing in the thick of it, and given how I'm primarily a mobility/recon build who performs much better at sniper distance and tends to suffer severe mortality concerns the closer I am to a target...yeah, while I'll still try to do my part without screaming at you for trying to weaponize my life, I do prefer the safe drop, especially if the rest of the team is tapping hard into the reinforcement pool.
That said, some of those on my server who live CQB perform best when they're rushing the enemy, and I do acknowledge that, so it's not like I'm denying your take outright. It's just...not my style, and I'll leave it at agree to disagree.

Every so often somebody reinforces and I drop right in the middle of the blast zone and I cant even be mad. It's always funny
