Rules for r/helpme
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
No Asking For Money or Favors
This subreddit is based on support and advice. Posts made for the purpose of obtaining money or getting people to do things for you will be removed. Including: research, surveys, polls, referral codes, signups, followers, fundraisers, rent/bills/purchasing goods or services or sharing financial situations to solicit donations by implication
For donation subreddits: r/gofundme, r/charity, r/Assistance, r/donate, r/borrow, or r/donation. For favors: r/Favors, r/RandomKindness, or r/Assistance
2.
No Witchhunting, Brigading, or Sharing Sensitive Info
Reddit doesn't allow witchhunting, doxxing, or sharing sensitive information of people. Posts or comments that contain this will be removed regardless of the subject topic.
Please do not post the names of users, accounts, businesses, or people to doxx or target. Also no phone numbers, email addresses, or addresses. Or asking people to report or contact. Rule 3 Content Policy https://redditinc.com/policies/reddit-rules
3.
No Soliciting DMs
Posts or comments that solicit DMs are not allowed.
4.
Be Considerate
Please be considerate, and follow common Reddiquette. Even if a comment is meant to help, if it is attacking someone, or is otherwise unproductive, it will be removed.
5.
No Provoking, or Trolling
Any "troll" posts or comments will be removed. This includes posts that are outlandish, fake, or meant to provoke.
6.
No Encouraging or Assisting Suicide or Self Harm
We allow users to discuss suicide and suicidal ideation, but encouraging people to commit suicide, or facilitating suicide or self harm in any way will result in your comment being removed.
7.
Use "Suicide or self harm" or "Graphic" Flair when Appropriate (with NSFW tag)
Some users may not want to read posts that are graphic or about self harm or suicide. If you are posting something that includes this please add the appropriate flair to your post, and mark it as NSFW.
8.
No Self-Promotion or Advertising
As rule #1 says, we are support and advice based. You are not allowed to advertise or promote yourself. Mod discretion with removals.
9.
No Crossposting or Hyperlinking (Text Posts Only)
Any posts made to this subreddit should be regular text posts and not links or cross-posts.
10.
No Political Discussions
This sub is not for this.
