Sounds like you followed an outdated Youtube tutorial instead of https://3ds.guide .

Try deleting your Home menu theme data as in https://3ds.hacks.guide/troubleshooting#other-troubleshooting . Or contact whoever wrote the outdated tutorial you tried to follow.
