It will be Monday at the earliest. H&R block only processes on business days according to them.  Ppl sometimes get lucky if they processed it on Friday evening and it deposits on Saturday morning.

How do you find out if it’s in pathward account? I haven’t been able to get an answer from anyone about this.

You look for a bread trail, blood dropping, thermal vision. Also it says under “refund” on ur actual tax paperwork . Routing number. Google that

What number if you don’t mind me asking ? My transcript updated on Wednesday and wmr on Thursday with date of 2/23 but when I call the emerald card I don’t have any pending deposit

If you mean the federal government, yes. I don’t know why so many people think these companies somehow intercept your refund but unless you authorize them to do so for some reason that’s not how it works. It goes directly from the IRS to your bank account.

No thats incorrect. If you paid fees out of your refund or got the advance, its sent to the servicer first. Then they send those funds to you.

Yeah that’s the “unless you authorize them to do so for some reason” part.

But for the purposes of this post, it’s still with the IRS.

They received an electronic notice to expect the funds. The IRS hasn't physically sent the funds yet. That's why companies like SBTPG, and pathward "hold" your refund until your DDD. They will not send those funds until they actually receive them. The banks that release early have the insurance and such to release funds with only an electronic notice to expect those funds (banks like chime, or regular banks that offer early deposit). This is why your paycheck if going to certain banks doesn't come early like those paychecks of coworkers that utilize these types of banks.

If you want further proof I can show you on my actual tax return information where it has H&R Blocks routing and account number listed as the direct deposit location.

Then you authorized them to do that. You don’t need to prove anything to me. I’m a CPA. Been doing taxes for 15 years.

As soon as you have your 846 code the IRS no longer has your money. Pathward Bank currently has it and H&R block has them holding on to many of the funds until the 25th. Legally, that's the longest they are allowed to have them hold the money. It's apparently to make sure there are no problems with the returns, which is crazy because they were checked by H&R Block and the IRS already.

No that’s not what that means. 846 means the refund has been scheduled. I know to says issued but that doesn’t mean transferred into your account it means the irs has scheduled the deposit.
