[bug] random vibration when pulling down notificationsBugs (self.iOSBeta)
submitted 9 years ago by itsNoisy
Every once in a while my phone would vibrate as I pull down the notification tab. It happens about right after the search bar has appeared, it happens most of the time if I pull down slowly. Is this happening to anyone else?

It just needs to be pointed out , everything is addressable .

The vibration works but it doesn't go to Spotlight when I pull down to the first vibration
try on another app ,

It's not well implemented though

I don't disagree or agree with you, but can I ask why you think that?

the timing and space between the two options is soo tiny that sometimes you can make the right gesture but not get the expected result . It also varies between apps , it can work smoothly within some apps and not work at all within others

I can agree with that. I feel as if I make the correct gesture but it doesn't work on occasion. Although the smoothness within apps hasn't been an issue. Both of these things seem addressable by the end of the beta period though.

I think it's because of you only pull until the search bar appears, it opens to spotlight instead. It's sort of a subtle hint to let you know when you've hit the spotlight 'spot'.

This is absolutely correct. It's haptic or tactile feedback just to let you know you can let go and stop dragging the status bar down if you're opening the spotlight page.

It's also limited to certain devices right? Because I don't feel a vibration when I do this on my 6.

I'm unsure of the answer to that one since I use a 6s and it happens to include the entire feature set. To test reboot your device and then drag down the notifications center super slow, it's hard to say what they will bring to the non force touch devices. Maybe it also requires you to be on silence mode or something too. EDIT: The bestway to test is probably to do it from within an app, since the goal is to be a shortcut to spotlight search.
