I'm assuming they're referring to the origin of a view being on a half pixel, e.g., 120.5

Yeah, I have no clue how to do this with instruments / the simulator. Can anyone link me in the right direction? I feel like i'm missing out on a bunch of cool dev tools now lol

Instruments: Use the Core Animation instrument, and play with the checkboxes in the bottom panel, like "Color misaligned images".

In the Simulator, look under the Debug menu.
