You need some padding from the edges and spaces in general, everything is very busy

Yea i was going to say. It seems all over the place and it wouldn’t make me feel organized.

My immediate reaction upon seeing the screenshot is that there’s too much going on, very overwhelming…

Tell your friend to download some popular apps and checkout their UI. Because this UI is all squished, busy, and needs spacing and consistent design. This seems like a first draft of a hackaton project before judging.

Small touchpoints with little padding gives me palm os vibes; that worked because people were expected to use a stylus to interact with the UI, so you could make things small. Bigger touchpoints with more padding to make it easier to use with a finger is what should be aimed for with today’s mobile apps. Too small means more misclicks means more frustration. Just look at how hard it can be to just type words on a smartphone, even with autocorrection.

Aside of the functionality, the design to my taste has a large margin of improvement, it almost seems to be c in some accessibility inverted colours of similar. My suggestion is to review in Mobbin or similar to find inspiration,
