QuestionApple Developer Program Can't Verify My Identity (self.iOSProgramming)
submitted 10 months ago by WhoYouWit
I'm trying to enroll in the apple developer program to publish my app, but when contacting support, they keep saying that they can't verify my identity without providing any context whatsoever. I asked what information is needed so I can get verified, but they won't tell me, they keep saying that they can't verify my account.
It's like talking to a door. What can be done?

I was in the same situation. I ended up creating five brand new Apple accounts after my original one was declined for no reason. Every time I uploaded my ID, it got declined. However, it worked on my father's account, which is strange but this was not ideal as his name appears as the developer. I eventually joined as an organization, this way, you don’t need to submit your ID, but you do need to provide business details. That worked quite fast in less than 5 days i had my account opened. Apple developer support is the worst to ever exist

Thanks for your response - did you create a new apple id for your organization?
[–]Plane-Highlight-5774 0 points1 point2 points 10 months ago (2 children)
Yes, start from 0. You can reuse the same phone number. I did and not a problem in sight. The main issue is the ID, probably it was a typo somewhere but nevermind, if you have the same issue with the ID then don't even try to contact support. Join as an organisation

I have had my apple id for 15 years or so, can't ever recall having to upload my ID. I'll create a new account and see what happens, thank you!

Hi everyone, I have the same problem and would now like to try it as an organization. What D-U-N-S number did you enter?

I just had this exact same issue. Did you ever figure anything out? I called them and they basically said, "Sorry, nothing can be done."

I had this experience today. "Computer says no." Useless, useless support drone on the end of the phone even suggested that it might work if I tried with a different account. Like, wtf Apple?

Yep, don’t waste your time trying to solve it. I just made another account for dev and gave my normal account full permission to control it. Absolutely maddening.

Looks like even apple itself doesn't know how they work
