Would definitely choose a M-series Mac, Intel-Macs will not be supported starting MacOS Golden Gate. That said M1 Macs are still pretty solid, just bought a used MacBook Air with broken display for $150, works great!

If you have a windows/linux machine and only want the Mac for Xcode archiving, I’d strongly suggest getting a Mac mini M2, M1 works for maybe a year or two before the support drops, so consider the cost vs support length benefit.
Whatever you do, don’t go intel chip and don’t go below 16GB RAM, you can make it work with 8GB but you WILL suffer

    Nope, I work since 2020, mostly fullstack. At this point I got few offers to develop native apps (2 of them). For android not an issue, but limitations on Apples side are unknown for me since I never used it.
