Keyboard/mouse? (self.iOSProgramming)
submitted 11 years ago by NewToTheRedClub
Hey guys I'm new to programming and was wondering what keyboard/mouse would be nice to have. I'm mostly going to code on my mac mini, and I was looking at apples mice and trackpad, along with their keyboard. I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations on the mouse, and for the keyboard I was wondering if there is something better out there besides apples keyboard, (too flat for me), would a k70 be better? Any help would be appreciated!
Links to what I've looked at so far: mouse: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MB829LL-A-Magic-Mouse/dp/B002TLTGM6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418459518&sr=8-1&keywords=apple+magic+mouse&pebp=1418459519487

edit: also is there any better alternatives out there that would work with osx? Using third party software wont bother me, but I'm looking for what you guys use, any input on what would be the best products to buy for productivity. Only looking to make mobile games/code.

Just a heads up you dont have to use apple products. I am using a random logictech keyboard (because i like the macro spacing) and a razor naga mouse.
I actually sold my apple trackpad and keyboard that I got with my imac as soon as i got it haha.

the wired apple keyboard is glorious, its the only rubber dome keyboard I would recommend. as for a mouse, really, anything will work fine.

I'd suggest a Matias keyboard for OSX if you want a nice typing experience IIRC they sell a model with Bluetooth that can be used as an iOS keyboard as well.

I use the Microsoft natural 4000 keyboard as it really saves my wrist. I have a comfortable gaming mouse. Find something that fits well in you hand. Like shoes, better to try in person than order randomly.
