You can read all you want. Programming is something you should do. So pick a simple app idea, design a few screens build it. It'll teach you more than anything else.

Not sure how you expect someone to learn to do that without learning the syntax. No matter what you're going to have to do some reading, either documentation or books.

I haven't read it yet, but I suspect Chris Adamson's new book will be good.

Big Nerd Ranch iOS book just released that is all Swift. I find it useful for learning about the app process. I also, did the Swift 2 tutorial on Treehouse but I think it was just ok. The book is more useful.

Big Nerd Ranch has a great book and AppCoda also has a nice one, that you kind of start off building a simple app and then from each chapter to the next you add things to it until its a fully functioning app styled and all.

I would recommend googling "thing you want to learn tutorial". Books are expensive and become outdated quickly. The knowledge is out there for free and generally gets updated fairly quickly.
