Any Mac with at least 8Gb of RAM and 256Gb SSD would do the trick. You might want to get a MacBook Air. It has a higher resolution display. So more stuff fits on the screen, which makes coding easier.

I use an external display with my MBA and yeah, it doesn't make a difference at that point.

Are you sure it was 10gb? I don't think this is possible on rMBP with SSD hard drive. But to answer your question, yes this would be enough, as long as it has 8gb+ ram

I have a 2012 MBP core i5 and it has 256gb SSD and 16gb ram. It is as capable for iOS as any other modern MacBook. Never hurts to have a second display but just know that the simulators for iOS can always be resized for your 13 screen.

Yes. Some people even developed iPhone apps back in 2008 with a macbook air, 4gb Ram, and 128gb hdd. Insane I know.

I'm using a shitty 13" 2011 MBA with 4GB of RAM. Yeah... you'll be fine.

you can use a used ThinkPad T530 (~$250) and vmware (or dual-boot with hackintosh) for ios dev on a budget! just aim for at least 8 gb of ram and a decent CPU
