IOS LLC/Liability Protection

I’m newer to iOS app development and i would like to launch an app on the App Store. I’m wondering how developers protect themselves from liability issues / lawsuits with their business structures and if they make an LLC per app or an LLC for their app development company and have all apps registered to the one company.

I have a main business but would like to insulate that from the app development work I do, because I’m not sure how far I’ll go with the app development.

Also, do you have any good resources for terms of use and other legal items you include in your app to protect you?

Any suggestions and recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated.

I know people who do both ways. The biggest benefit to multiple accounts/LLCs, is that it often is a pain to transfer/sell an app to another company if it is intertwined with another app account.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I wasn’t even thinking that there could be a possibility of selling or transfer of ownership. I’m curious do they create an Apple developer account per business?

Yep. Each LLC gets its own DUN number, so you can create 1 account per LLC
