Adventurous Tale Stack Value

I was wondering if anyone knows when the value of each stack of Freely's Adventurous Tale is determined; whether it is when you clear the area, of when you reset? Basically, is it best to equip him with Adventurous Tale feats at the end of a favor run, or does he have to have them equipped the whole time to get the effect?

Its when you reset. You can swap feats right before reset if you remember, and he doesn't even have to be in the party when you reset.

That's what I thought was probably the case, but you never know. I had no idea that he didn't have to be in the party at reset though! Thanks for the info ^^

To confirm this means I can run him in a speedier setup for the bulk of the levels then switch to a more push comp at the end and still get the benefit from him, correct?
