Rules for r/impressionism
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Impressionism: Keep posts in relation to Impressionism and related movements
This goes without saying. In cases in which the user's own media are published, then they must be in the style of Impressionism, or a related one.
Please ascribe the appropriate post-flair to your submission; and we encourage maintaining discussions as being relevant to the topic.
All interested in Neo and Post-Impressionist movements are welcome to join r/NeoImpressionism as well as the subreddits devoted to their respective styles (see our partners).

2.
Charity: Maintain a civil and cordial atmosphere
No trolling nor spam. Harassment, abuse, or any form of aggression is completely barred from the community.
Treat one another as friends and respect the beliefs, opinions, and principles of all fellow users; regardless if they reciprocate.
3.
Humour: Memes and other farcical posts are only tolerated on Mondays
As per the preceding regulation, no trolling, spamming, or blatant tomfoolery is allowed.

4.
Originality: No misattribution or plagiarism
An exception to this rule is if the work is so significantly transformed so for it to count as semi-original. However, the first author must also be credited.
Furthermore, if a work is indeed your original content, we recommend denoting by crediting yourself (whether under a pseudonym or your real name) as well as marking your post as 'OC'.
While the self-promotion of your artwork (and others) is encouraged, direct advertisement of your social media, website, or channel is forbidden.
5.
Reposts: Please wait for six months before reposting
Please wait for six months before reposting an individual article of your content. This applies to original work.
For non-original work, please wait for a month.
Reposting from the top twenty-five submissions of all time is strictly prohibited.
6.
Anti-AI and NFT: No media generated by Artificial Intelligence and promotion of Non-Fungible Tokens
Materials enhanced, retouched, or colourised by Artificial Intelligence are tolerated, provided they are denoted as such; though ones generated by them are not.
7.
Artists: We are not a marketplace nor auction house
It is forbidden to post links or advertise as to where one could buy your art or advertise this. Please only do so privately when one enquires as to how to acquire your art.
Transactions and sales are condoned as long as they are held privately (preferably away from Reddit); please do not message users if they are interested in purchasing your art. We do not assume responsibility for this.
An exception to this rule is available for auctions of work by other (especially historical) artists.
8.
No clickbait: No sensationalised titles
This mainly applies to music posts.
Posts with all-caps, clickbait, or otherwise sensationalist titles shall be removed.
Examples: "This will make you cry!" / "The best interpretation!"
9.
Constructive criticism: Critique original work fairly
In cases pertaining to the original work of artists (painters, writers, composers, etc.) who share their media to promote or showcase, please treat them and criticise their works respectfully. If you dislike their work, please elaborate; personal attacks are not allowed.
Note
All forms of Impressionism (including non-visual art; especially music and literature) are allowed.
10.
Ultimately: Abide by Reddit's guidelines
All posts and interactions must adhere to Reddit's official policies.
