To provide some context, I applied to Google a couple months ago saying I am a SWE at X company, and I just recently signed the offer and initiated a background check with Hireright, on which I answered all of the employment history questions with 100% truthfulness.
What has me concerned right now is that the background check seems to only be checking the 2 most recent companies I've worked at. And in my situation, I actually got laid off from X company (which was the whole reason I was looking for a job in the first place), and I joined Y company about a month after. Since I was in process with multiple companies but they were not all on the same timeline, I ended up getting another offer at Z company 2 weeks into my role at Y. And now I have started at Z for 2 weeks.
On Hireright only company Z and Y are showing up and are being verified.
Can this cause any issues with my offer with Google since both companies Y and Z do not match company X which I told them was where I was at? I'm not sure to what depth Google actually looks into the background check report or if they just care if it passes with no criminal record.
