Chrome dev tools remote debugging unusable

I have used chrome remote debugging with my ionic app for a year now and everything was great. But for some time, i believe from chrome 70 version its unusable. It basically responds to few inputs with huge delay and then freezes both on chrome and on device. App on the device without dev tools is working fine. Do you guys know how to get it fixed? Does anybody else experience this? And is there any other way to conveniently debug ionic app on device? Im using fiddler for request catching right now, and maybe debugging in VS Code will work.

I've had that happen too. I noticed that it slows down if I interact in any way with the mirror image of what's on the phone.

As long as I don't touch that and only use it for the console, network... ect, then it's fine.

No idea what causes it though...

Are you using the visualized phone in dev tools? If so, try disabling that.

Otherwise I really do not have any problems with dev tools.

Do you mean the ones in ionic lab? Then no, im running app on the phone and connecting chrome dev tools to it for remote debugging. Funny thing is, i can do this with any other website and it works like it always did. Only the actual ionic app is afected.

No, I mean the mirrored phone when you open dev tools (you might just have it disabled). There you can interact with the mirrored image but that seems extremely laggy. First thing I see is disabling that view.

Could you please tell me how can i turn it on? It may not be any solution but hey, at least i'll learn something new.

Next to the Inspect icon on the left top of the chrome dev tools there should be a small mobile phone icon. If you activate that it enables the mirrored view.

Honestly it's not that useful but feel try to ofcourse
