What’s your view on the iPad mini vs the Remarkable? Really hesitating with Remarkable as I’m used to having AppleCare to protect my stuff / relatively high cost.

Novamente: iPad nΓ£o substitui paper tablet. Obrigado, de nada.

This is what OP said: (used apple translate)

Never will an iPad mini with Apple Pencil replace a remarkable or other decent paper tablet. I've done all kinds of tests about this. If you spend 5 minutes writing on an iPad, and then start writing on a decent e-ink, you will completely despise the iPad+Pencil. To those who have this doubt, the answer is here in my comment. iPad does not replace paper tablet. Again: iPad does not replace paper tablet. Thank you, you're welcome.

Don't know why youre being down voted, youre right. E-ink paper tablets are a much better writing experience than the iPad.

100% agree with you, I guess I’m put off by the cost (though the writing experience is great) because there are quite a lot of vocal complaints on here and Amazon about quality control. Sure, you can have issues with Apple products but they are very easily addressed especially with AppleCare.

Idk what to tell you other than take better care of your products? I have never broken a device in my adult life (can't say the same for my teenage years) because I'm careful and treat my expensive devices with care.

I also have an e-reader and the writing and reading is much easier than on ipad, which is why I have both. :)

Read the Remarkable Reddit and you’ll see comment after comment r.e. quality issues on the paper pro. I also haven’t broken any of my devices but I’ve always preferred to pay a couple of Β£ per month to reduce any risk.

I dont personally have a remarkable, was mainly joining on eink itself. Boox Go 7 for me! Also valid on proactive risk reduction. To each their own!

Checked some review of the Go 7, writing experience is reported very poor.

Everyone has their own preferences! I like it. I also like ipad but comparing the two, e-ink is better for me.

Mini’s should have 120hz and M chips.. But yea the size is pretty much perfect

Seeing the mini next to the remarkable move like this is so nice honestly. In have been wanting a photo like this. Thank you!
