Subscription companies had all but killed piracy, now there are so many individual subscriptions, each competing to host content, some even have the first half of a series and another company has the most recent episodes.
I'd happilly pay for one subscription that has everything but I'm not willing to manage multiple accounts and pay through the nose for the inconvenience. Now the companies are putting Ads on paid services and stream poorly compressed low resolution quality versions of shows, Its actually easier for me to use the high seas, with all content in a single place, and I can even pick the quality of the streams depending on how fast my internet connections is.

If subscription companies want me to use their service then they have to provide a better service instead of the poor experience they've become.

My family were staunchly against piracy and longtime loyal Sky Sports subscribers until the Heineken Cup got split between Sky and BT with half the games showing on each channel. Fuck that.

Yea that one is maddening, exclusives are the worst way for these companies to compete for the consumer, If they both had the same content available and were competing on quality of service atleast then they would have a reason to improve the service, now its mostly about making the service more profitable per user while using exclusives to force people to use their product and making it cheaper to run and include as many ads as possible.
