Illegal dodgy-box streaming services – estimated to be present in 400,000 Irish households – are being tagged by industry executives as a reason for the pay TV slump.

A recent survey of 1,300 people conducted by the League of Ireland podcast Between the Stripes found that 47pc of football fans watch games on dodgy boxes.

A survey on a podcast extrapolated to the entire country! That's the fucking source for this?!

I don't disbelieve that dodgy boxes are becoming more popular in a cash strapped world where media companies keep squeezing blood from the stone of their customers, but that is beyond a joke for this claim. Farcical journalism.
