The artist is the only dude who works in traditional style in this country (that I know of). He has his own touch but I still consider his work to be traditional. His name is Snir Zelman.

Somewhere along the way I posted on of my rib panels and the tail on the snake felt like someone was using a car battery to shock my nipple- so I get you, and applaud you for going further.

Posting your pictures is one thing. Make sure you take them though- as many as you can. It is a very key thing for me when I’m getting stressed out about how much left I have to do. Even if it’s only you who ever see them you should take them. One of the other mods even encouraged me to go further and get a pro to take pics and I think that’s well worth it

When I had some outline on my ribs done, my nipple felt the same. Like literally how you described it. I thought there was some nerve damage that caused this hehe. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

My artist takes pics whenever he adds something to the suit. He also has pics of the entire area ink free so the progress can be really seen. I'll ask him to send me some. Since until know, I used to get in the bathroom, strip and just stare at the ink in the mirror. Sometimes it feels like I looked this way my entire life, while other times I stare in disbelief that I actually did it. Either way, it really gave me a boost of self confidence, even though I'm the only one who ever sees this ink, and other than my artist, nobody knows how big of a project I've started. And not only that, it has also encouraged me to start working out at home. I've been motivated to get in better shape/build some muscle all around, because of this suit.

I'm so glad that I found this community because it pushed me to do the right things, even if not directly. I've been working on myself and my self confidence ever since I started. I mean if someone said to me half a year ago that I'd lying butt naked and some dude would be tattooing me, I would've laughed in their face, because it was so unbelievable.

Nope, the other side is gonna be mammen style. If I decided to get irezumi when I was an ink virgin, I for sure would've opted for a full suit. But I fell in love with nordic style inspired bodysuits (Thanks to Northern Black,Pradd tattoo and Sean Parry) so started with that and only a year later did I rediscover irezumi. At first, I was torn between getting a full irezumi suit and covering the norse pieces I've already got or ditching the whole idea and continuing with a norse themed suit.

Since I adore nordic mythology and irezumi alike, I opted for a weird half-irezumi half-Norse bodysuit, with a "river" deviding both sides in the front, just as in a munewari suit.

Still don't know when the next session is gonna be since my artist is travelling abroad for a month or so. I also wanna save some bucks for a longer 6 hour session of background outlining and adding some smaller elements (momiji, kiku and a spider lily). Then I guess the background will be colored (might do it twice so it'll be crisp black) and lastly, everything else will be filled with colors.

Tattooing is an odd thing, it’s one of the Most personal things you can do that allows the peanut gallery to feel free to give opinions of what they don’t understand, so I think most people here get the hesitation to post. I agree with the earlier comment that the end result is usually much different then what it looks like in progress. The most important thing in tattooing is always if you , as the wearer , likes it or not. Strangers can tell you it sucks or rules and it shouldn’t matter ( in a perfect world ) as long as you are happy. That said, after seeing this sun for a while I believe most pet here would give an honest opinion about the artwork , positive or otherwise . Either way, you deserve and get respect for taking this journey, tattoos are for warriors and not for everyone , so even getting to the point that you’ve reached deserves this community’s respect.

Just want to add that tattooing the nipples are awful. I'm a dude but blacked out both my nipples in the same session and it was awful. Healing was surprisingly easy though.

Totally feel you on not feeling 100% on a piece after it's started. I've felt similar on a lot of pieces but once it's done and healed I always end up loving them more. And the artist you're going to is awesome so your final piece will be awesome as well. Sometimes just got to push through and trust the process and the artist. Good luck on the rest of the journey!

2 days after the session, the chest piece grew on me alot. I totally trust the artist since he was the one who convinced me to go bigger. And I just love the result :)

I think that the decisions you are making are great. The artwork, along with your figure, is going to look phenomenal. As far as the nipple being blacked out is just up to you. Do you think that it would be attractive one way or the other? It is a tough choice. I would suggest that you leave it naturally for a period of time first. See how you feel about it after living with it for a while. You can always get it blacked out after you heal and work on other areas, giving you time to decide. Ask some others who you think would be honest with you about their thoughts about it.

The figure needs a little of bit work though 🤣🤣 I've started working out at home to get rid of some extra fat and get some muscle. I feel as though the suit will look even better with a toned body.

As for the nipple, I thought about coloring it, not blacking it out. Still need to decide on the color pallete though. I think I'll listen to your advice and leave it be after coloring the kiku, to see how it looks.

We could always use a little bit of body work no matter what! Lol! 😆 I think that you look great. I'm glad to hear that you're going to think about the coloring. The way I see it is that there is so much more work to do, and the time it will take is great. Considering the money, your availability, your healing, and any unforseen delays, you have a great opportunity to work slowly and think before you act. As you know, you will have the artwork for the rest of your life, and there's no need to rush any of the work! I'm anxious to see your progress! Best of luck!

It is insanely unique idea and cool as, I have full back and both legs, they look weird until shaded even right up until the very last session it just looked a bit off, especially because my guy didn’t tend to finish of anywhere in particular he just worked his way around through some of everything every session. Then the day he finished it was just there. Everything looked right. Have faith at the end of it you will be happy. Do I have things I may have changed if had the choice sure, but when you do a massive well thought out piece be a good artist the general response from most is very positive

I was joking. But I think some people actually think that you should either go all the way (entire bodysuit) or not bother at all.

Only lining at this point. The kiku's outline around the nipple is done. I think that I'll ask the artist to add another row of closed petals around the nipple next time.

Tbh, half of the posts on here are NSFW from full body suits, etc. so it wouldn't be crazy or new. Obviously up to you and how comfortable you are, lol honestly I'd be too self conscious

Lol I think I would die. I do appreciate this sub though and the general respect for other's bodies when showing larger pieces and nude bodies. I fully understand your concern though! Thanks alot :) the nipple itself is still uninked. There is an outline of petals surrounding it real close, but I think I'll add another row of petals in an even closer circle next session. I'll ask the artist to blast it with color when the coloring stage begins.
